Henry Shepherd Cook, known as Harry Cook, was an early settler of Oliver Township, in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario.[1]
Settlement
- Described in 1956, with his wife, as an early pioneer of the district.[1]
- Brought his infant daughter, later Mary Anne Shepherd Todd, from Weston, Ontario, when she was three months old, at about the end of 1872.[1]
- Settled in Oliver Township on the John Street Road, where the family home remained thereafter.[1]
Family
- Father of Mary Anne Shepherd Todd (c. 1872 – 1956), whose middle name preserves the Shepherd of his own.[1]
- Father of George Cook (c. 1876 – 1947), John Cook (died 1955) and Frank Cook (c. 1884 – 1963), named as her brothers in that obituary.[1]
- His wife is not named in the source.[1]
