thunderbay.wiki (originally, "Curriepedia") was created to circumvent the notability guidelines on Wikipedia proper to enable the creation of many articles of interest to hyperlocal historians.
It came out of an idea Michael B. Currie had on 6 May 2018.
Thunder Bay BandWiki
According to Thunder Bay BandWiki, BandWiki was started by [email protected] as a method to organize and archive an extensive list of bands in the Thunder Bay, Ontario area. From that initial setup, it expanded to include listings of musicians, biographies, events, and more. BandWiki describes itself as the most comprehensive archive of Thunder Bay bands in history.
