This article is about the Gilbert Spence who died at Winnipeg in 1920 at the age of 32. He is not to be confused with his father Gilbert Spence (born c. 1834), the Hudson's Bay Company factor at Pic River who died at Fort William in 1912.

Gilbert Spence (c. 1888 – 31 July 1920) was a resident of the Thunder Bay District who died at Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a son of the Hudson's Bay Company factor Gilbert Spence and a younger brother of the grain elevator worker Peter William Spence.[1][2]

- Son of Gilbert Spence, factor at the Hudson's Bay Company post at Pic River, whose family settled at Prince Arthur's Landing and then at the homestead at 1051 Dease Street.[2]

- Named as the predeceased brother Gilbert in the 1956 obituary of Peter William Spence.[2]
