Pic River

Pic River is a river on the north shore of Lake Superior, east of Thunder Bay; its source is McKay Lake (Pic River). A Hudson's Bay Company post stood at the river, described in 1956 as having been an important post.[1]

- Gilbert Spence, previously post master at Michipicoten in 1869 and 1870, was the factor at Pic River.[1]
- His son Peter William Spence was born at the post in about 1882, after which the family moved to Prince Arthur's Landing.[1]
