Gary William Sambray (c. 1938 – (2004-05-03)3 May 2004), known as Gary Sambray Sr., was a Fort William businessman, the husband of the businesswoman Constance "Connie" Sambray (née Crabbe) and a son-in-law of Marie Josephine Crabbe.

Life

Gary William Sambray was born and raised in Fort William around 1938, a son of John and Gladys Sambray.[1][2] He owned and operated Sambray Services for over 20 years; together with his wife Constance Sambray he ran Sambrays Services on May Street and, later, Sambrays Neebing Services on Rosslyn Road in Thunder Bay.[1][2] The couple had two sons, Gary Sambray Jr. and Mark Sambray.[2]

Death

Sambray died on 3 May 2004 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 66. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Gladys Sambray, and by his brother Gordon, and was survived by his wife Connie, his two sons, six granddaughters, one grandson, and three great-grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes he was cremated, with a private family interment held later.[1]
