William Stavers van der Kaa ((1901-09-30)30 September 1901 – 1967) was a son of the Fort William machinist Paul Vander Kaa and his wife Mary Amelia Vander Kaa.

Life

William Stavers van der Kaa was born in Fort William on 30 September 1901, the son of Paul Vander Kaa (1866–1943), a machinist, and Mary Amelia Vander Kaa (née Beyer, 1874–1961).[1][2] His father had been born in the Dutch East Indies, and his middle name, Stavers, derives from the Dutch-colonial Stavers family into which the van der Kaas had married.

Marriage

In 1927, at the age of 25, van der Kaa married Mary Harper McMillen (born circa 1901).[2][3]

Death

Van der Kaa died in 1967 at the age of 66 and was buried in the Mountain View / Saint Patrick Cemetery in Thunder Bay.[3]
