Tapiola Ski Trails

From thunderbay.wiki

The Tapiola Ski Trails are cross-country ski trails off Government Road in Thunder Bay, Ontario. They began as a Reipas Athletic Club complex and were long owned by the Finlandia Association of Thunder Bay, whose volunteers maintained them.[1][2]

When Finlandia was dissolved in 2020, Arlene Thorn and Joe O'Hearn, founders of the Northern Lights School, bought the 13-acre property and took over the lease of the adjoining city-owned land the trails cross.[2][3] Former Finlandia members and trail volunteers formed the Tapiola Association to keep the trails and events going.[3]
