Strathcona Golf Course

From thunderbay.wiki

The Strathcona Golf Course (called the Strathcona Golf Club course in 1938) is a golf course in Port Arthur, now Thunder Bay, below Strathcona Heights.[1]

Skiing

In winter its hills were the ski grounds of the Port Arthur Ski Club. In 1937 the News-Chronicle called the club "on the hills of the Strathcona golf links" a rendezvous for the city's younger set. The club's 1938 clubhouse overlooked the course's fifth hole.[2][1] See History of skiing in Thunder Bay and Big Thunder.
