Sarah Stafford was a writer and an early member of the Thunder Bay Historical Society at Port Arthur in the early twentieth century.
Thunder Bay Historical Society
Stafford served on the Society's executive committee from its founding in 1908.[1][2] She contributed the poem "Lake Superior" to the Society's first Annual (1908–1909), signing it as "Miss Stafford".[3]
She wrote several historical papers for the Society, among them "Railway Builders of Canada" and "Reminiscences of Fort William" (1913), and "Port Arthur in Ye Older Time".[4][5] A photograph of Stafford appeared in the Society's Annuals.[5]
