Jane McCreadie (née Crabbe; c. 1897 – 22 July 1972), also recorded as Jean, was a resident of the Thunder Bay area.
Life
Jane Crabbe was born around 1897. She married Jack McCreadie; their children included Thomas McCreadie (1927–2021), a co-founder of the Thunder Bay Food Bank, and Helen Rawluk.[1]
It has not been established whether Jane Crabbe was related to the Crabbe family descended from Paul Vander Kaa through his daughter Marie Josephine Crabbe, who married Matthew Crabbe (1908–1961). Although Jane shared the Crabbe surname and was of roughly the same generation as Matthew, no record has yet been found linking them, and the two families may be unrelated.
Death
McCreadie died in Thunder Bay on 22 July 1972, at the age of 75.[2]
