James Brown (18 September 1881 – 24 May 1915 (aged 33)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Brown died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Brown was born on 18 September 1881, the son of Thomas Edward Brown and Elizabeth Jane Brown.[1]
Service
Brown enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a sergeant (service number 1406) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (8th Bn.).[1]
Death
Brown died on 24 May 1915, aged 33. He is commemorated at Vimy Memorial.[1]
