Friends of Big Thunder

From thunderbay.wiki

Friends of Big Thunder is a community group in Thunder Bay, Ontario, that has sought to revive the closed Big Thunder ski jumping and Nordic site.[1]

The group announced a letter of intent to the province on 1 March 2010.[2] In 2015 the Fort William First Nation briefed provincial officials on a redevelopment plan with the city, Neebing, Lakehead University, Confederation College and Friends of Big Thunder.[3] In 2017 co-chair Paul DeGiacomo put the cost of full restoration at $30 million.[1]
