Betty Youngs skied for the host Fort William Ski Club in the women's invitation races at the 1939 Dominion ski championships on Mount McKay.[1]
Role in skiing
Visiting skiers at the February 1939 meet were received at the home of Mrs. Riley Youngs.[1] She is probably Betty McCranor (née Youngs), who married in June 1939; this has not been confirmed. See Big Thunder and History of skiing in Thunder Bay.
