William Herbert Welsh (born 5 February 1890) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]
Early life
Welsh was born at Apsley, Canada on 5 February 1890.[1]
Service
Welsh enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 10MD, 1st Depot Battalion, Manitoba Regiment (regimental number 2383895).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as mechanic; his next of kin was recorded as his mother, Mrs. Jessie Welsh, of 283 Park St. Port Arthur, Ontario, Canada.[1]
