Walter Hart (11 July 1888 – 28 October 1917 (aged 29)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Hart died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Hart was born at New South Wales on 11 July 1888, the son of Lewis Hart and Joanna Rebecca Hart.[1]
Service
Hart enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a sergeant (service number 439486) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (52nd Bn.).[1]
Death
Hart was killed in action on 28 October 1917, aged 29. He is commemorated at Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial (grave reference Panel 24 - 26 - 28 - 30).[1]
