Samuel Alexander ((1884-09-13)13 September 1884 – 19 August 1917(1917-08-19) (aged 32)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William in the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment). Alexander died on active service during the First World War.[1]

Early life

Alexander was born at County Down on 13 September 1884, the son of Hugh Alexander and Agnes Alexander.[1]

Service

Alexander enlisted at Fort William and served as a private (service number 198859) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment) (28th Bn.).[1]

Death

Alexander died of wounds on 19 August 1917, aged 32. He is commemorated at Barlin Communal Cemetery (grave reference III. D. 17.).[1]
