Roots to Harvest
Roots to Harvest is a Thunder Bay organization founded in 2007 that uses food to connect people and foster dignity.[1]
As of April 2026, the organization is known as the Roots Community Food Centre. It was established as a project by Lakehead University professors Dr. Connie Nelson and Dr. Doug West to engage students in food security projects. The organization became a non-profit in 2012 and joined Community Food Centres Canada in 2021.[1]
The name appears in the Lakehead University Alumni Spotlight profile of Erin Beagle.[1]
