Roderick McKenzie was a Hudson's Bay Company chief factor at Fort William in the 1820s.[1]
Career
- Replaced a chief factor named Stewart at Fort William in the 1820s.
- His wife was a Nipigon Indian; his three mixed-ancestry sons all worked in the fur trade.
- A Hudson's Bay Company employee named Roderick McKenzie, possibly one of his sons, was praised by Commissioner William Robinson for his services during the 1850 Robinson-Superior Treaty negotiations.
