Nicholas Bouchard (born c. 1848) was a mixed-ancestry member of the Bouchard family who spent almost his whole life at Nipigon House.[1]

Life

  • Born at Nipigon House in approximately 1848.
  • Married a "Half-breed" woman from Michipicoten, possibly in 1860, with whom he had six children.
  • With the exception of one year, always lived at Nipigon House; his family spent some time at Red Rock.
  • Listed, with his wife and children, as "French & Indian" on the 1871 census.
