Marie Moggey (5 July 1960 – 19 March 2022 (aged 61)) was a Geraldton-born office manager at Bay City Energy and member of Long Lake #58 who lived in Thunder Bay.[1][2]
Life and family
Marie Moggey was born in Geraldton, Ontario, on July 5, 1960. She was a member of Long Lake #58 and took great pride in her Indigenous heritage. Professionally, she served as the office manager for Bay City Energy. Outside of work, she was an avid outdoorswoman who took pleasure in fishing, camping, and hosting gatherings for her loved ones on her patio. She also travelled extensively, visiting Scotland several times and spending winter months in Arizona with her husband.[1]
She was survived by Wayne, her husband of thirty-three years, and her children Joey, Jason, Norman, Danny, Linda, Bobby, and Tracy. Her legacy included grandchildren Macayla “Mikey”, Devin “Boyko”, Jord-Ann “George”, Jeffrey, and Sarah, as well as great-grandchildren Ava “Frankie” and Avery. She was also survived by her siblings Jimmy, Faye, John, and Allyson. She was predeceased by her parents James and Gladys Howe.[1]
Marie Moggey died on March 19, 2022, at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. A funeral service was held on March 26, 2022, at the WESTFORT CHAPEL, with arrangements handled through Everest of Thunder Bay.[1]
