Life and family
Kyle McDonald was born in Thunder Bay on September 2, 1984, to Bruce and Linda McDonald. He was raised in Shuniah, where he spent his youth dirt biking and spending time with his friends Ross, Mikey, Jason, and Jimmy. He was an enthusiast of cars and animals, often traveling with his dogs Dexter and Bella.[1]
He received his early education at McKenzie Public School and Bishop Gallagher Senior Elementary before attending Hillcrest High School. He later moved to Calgary to pursue further studies in the health care field.[1]
He was survived by his parents Bruce and Linda McDonald, his sister Terah White and her husband Trevor White, and his nieces Danyka White and Abigail White. He was also survived by a grandfather and his friend Ryan Hebert. He was predeceased by several family members who had also faced struggles with addiction.[1]
Kyle McDonald died unexpectedly at his residence in Calgary on March 24, 2020. Because of public health restrictions at the time, a memorial service was planned for a later date.[1]
