Joseph Arthur Smith (born 20 September 1899) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William and served in the First World War.[1]

Smith was born at Red Deer, Canada on 20 September 1899.[1]
Service
Smith enlisted at Fort William in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, No. VIII Field Ambulance (regimental number 530196).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as mechanic; his next of kin was recorded as his mother, Mrs. Hollis Ryan, of 20 Mona Block, Fort William, Ont.[1]
