John Sampi (born 15 August 1884) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]
Early life
Sampi was born at Wasa, Finland on 15 August 1884.[1]
Service
Sampi enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 230th Forestry Battalion (regimental number 1013627).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as laborer; his next of kin was recorded as his mother, Mrs. Herman Saupe, of 432 Young St. Fort William Ont..[1]
