John James Barker (died 6 June 1916) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment). Barker died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
the son of James Barker and Laura Barker.[1]
Service
Barker enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a lance corporal (service number 73321) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment) (28th Bn.).[1]
Death
Barker was killed in action on 6 June 1916, aged 21. He is commemorated at Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial (grave reference Panel 18 - 26 - 28).[1]
