Joe Comuzzi
Joseph Robert Comuzzi, (April 5, 1933 – December 31, 2021) was a Canadian lawyer and politician who served as a cabinet minister under Prime Minister Paul Martin. He served as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1988 to 2008, representing Thunder Bay—Nipigon which was renamed Thunder Bay—Superior North in 2000.

Joseph Robert Comuzzi was born in Fort William on April 5, 1933. He worked in the Thunder Bay business community for 24 years and served as a school representative on the Lakehead Board of Education. From 1988 to 2008 he served as the Member of Parliament representing the local riding of Thunder Bay—Nipigon, later renamed Thunder Bay—Superior North, during which he advocated for issues specific to Thunder Bay and northwestern Ontario, including a local cancer research centre. He was married to Janet M. Casgrain until her death in 2014, and they had four children. Comuzzi died in Thunder Bay on December 31, 2021.
