Jennie Laird was an organist in early Port Arthur, Ontario, and the first wife of G. T. Marks.[1]
Early life and community role
- Served as organist in the choir at a Christmas service on 25 December 1879 at a Port Arthur church, where a visiting minister from Kingston preached the sermon.[1]
- Among those present at a subsequent Christmas dinner party that evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Marks, held on St. Paul Street, Port Arthur.[1]
