Jane Michelson was a Swampy Cree woman of Moose Factory who settled on the Lake Superior north shore.[1]
Life
- Married John Michelson, the lighthouse keeper at Lamb Island on the east side of the Black Bay Peninsula, with whom she had children.
- Listed as "Indian" on the 1881 census, her seven children as "Canadian".
- Appears as number 22 on the Red Rock Band paylists for 1895 and 1897-1900.
