He graduated from Lakehead University in 2003 with a degree in Arts and Science from the Music Department, having studied guitar, vocals, keyboards, and tuba. He later moved to Ottawa, where he works as a Geospatial Engineer with the Canadian Forces, while remaining active in the music community.
