James McDowall (born 6 August 1896) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur and served in the First World War.[1]
Early life
McDowall was born at Maybole, Scotland on 6 August 1896.[1]
Service
McDowall enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1st Depot Battalion Manitoba Regiment (regimental number 2383855).[1]
Attestation
On enlistment, his trade was given as boilermaker; his next of kin was recorded as his father, William Mc Dowell, of 66 Button Street Port Arthur Ontario Canada.[1]
