J. Harvey was a station agent in Bremner Station, in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario. The surrogate-court probate records list two different decedents named J. Harvey in the district; this article covers the one whose estate was probated at Bremner Station in 1897.
The estate was probated in the Thunder Bay District surrogate court in 1897 and inventoried at $7,636.91 (equivalent to $361,180 in 2025). He died intestate, without a will, and was survived by 10 children.[1]
