J. Finlayson was a HBC clerk in Montizambert, in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario.
The estate was probated in the Thunder Bay District surrogate court in 1898 and inventoried at $4,876.47 (equivalent to $208,558 in 2025). He died testate, leaving a will, and was survived by three children.[1]
