Hubert Badanai
Hubert Badanai (11 January 11, 1895 – 19 September 1986), born Umberto Badanai; was a Canadian automobile dealer and politician. He was the first Italian born member of Canadian Federal Parliament.

Hubert Badanai (born Umberto Badanai, 11 January 1895 – 19 September 1986) was a Canadian automobile dealer and politician who died in Thunder Bay, Ontario. After moving to Canada at age 18, he worked at a brickyard in Rosslyn before opening a successful car dealership and entering municipal politics in Fort William, Ontario, where he served as an alderman for nine years and as mayor for eight years (1949–1952 and 1955–1958). He was subsequently elected to the House of Commons for the riding of Fort William in 1958, succeeding Daniel McIvor, and held the seat until 1972, when he was succeeded by Paul McRae.
