Gunnlaugur Marino Maxon (12 March 1913 – 11 February 1945 (aged 31)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Maxon died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
Maxon was born at Polson on 12 March 1913, the son of Saemundar Maxon and Rakel Maxon.[1]
Service
Maxon enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a flying officer (service number J/24241) in the Air Force, Royal Canadian Air Force.[1]
Death
Maxon died on 11 February 1945, aged 31. He is commemorated at Ottawa Memorial (grave reference Panel 4. Column 2.).[1]
