Gordon Maurice Bell (11 December 1922 – 6 September 1944 (aged 21)) was a Canadian soldier from the Thunder Bay district in the Royal Canadian Engineers. Bell died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
Bell was born at Craik on 11 December 1922, the son of William Alexander Bell and Ruth Bell.[1]
Service
Bell enlisted at Fort Wiliam and served as a sapper (service number H/82361) in the Army, Royal Canadian Engineers (4 Field Survey Coy.).[1]
Death
Bell died of wounds recieved in action on 6 September 1944, aged 21. He is commemorated at Bayeux War Cemetery (grave reference IV.D.18.).[1]
