Gordon Elmer Anderson ((1914-02-09)9 February 1914 – 9 August 1944(1944-08-09) (aged 30)) was a Canadian soldier who served in Thunder Bay's Lake Superior Regiment. Anderson died on active service during the Second World War.[1]

Early life

Anderson was born at Calgary on 9 February 1914, the son of Walton Anderson and May Anderson.[1]

Service

Anderson enlisted at Vancouver and served as a sergeant (service number K/45498) in the Army, Lake Superior Regiment.[1]

Death

Anderson was killed in action on 9 August 1944, aged 30. He is commemorated at Bayeux Memorial (grave reference Panel 26.).[1]
