George Modeen (29 July 1912 – 6 June 1944 (aged 31)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. Modeen died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
Modeen was born at Duluth on 29 July 1912, the son of John Modeen and Emily Modeen.[1]
Service
Modeen enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a rifleman (service number H/195591) in the Army, Royal Winnipeg Rifles.[1]
Death
Modeen died on 6 June 1944, aged 31. He is commemorated at Beny-Sur-Mer Canadian War Cemetery (grave reference II. D. 16.).[1]
