George Marineau (14 February 1881 – 18 November 1919 (aged 38)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regiment). Marineau died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Marineau was born at Hull, Outaouais on 14 February 1881, the son of Alphonse Marineau and Virginia Marineau.[1]
Service
Marineau enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number 847214) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Quebec Regiment) (22nd Bn.).[1]
Death
Marineau died of phthisis on 18 November 1919, aged 38. He is commemorated at Sudbury Roman Catholic Cemetery.[1]
