George Keith Bonewell (15 September 1892 – 4 December 1917 (aged 25)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Bonewell died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Bonewell was born at North Augusta on 15 September 1892, the son of Malcolm Henry Bonewell and Nettie May Bonewell.[1]
Service
Bonewell enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number 199292) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (52nd Bn.).[1]
Death
Bonewell died of pneumonia, following wounds received at passchendaele 26th oct. on 4 December 1917, aged 25. He is commemorated at Birmingham (Lodge Hill) Cemetery (grave reference B10. 417C).[1]
