George C. Nicoll (12 March 1892 – 27 September 1918 (aged 26)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Nicoll died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Nicoll was born at Lachute on 12 March 1892, the son of Paul Nicoll and Elizabeth Nicoll.[1]
Service
Nicoll enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number 2383321) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (8th Bn.).[1]
Death
Nicoll died of gsw back, killed in action on 27 September 1918, aged 26. He is commemorated at Haynecourt British Cemetery (grave reference II. C. 20.).[1]
