George Barclay (6 February 1887 – 29 December 1917 (aged 30)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Barclay died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Barclay was born at Dundee on 6 February 1887, the son of Colin Barclay and Isabella M. Barclay.[1]
Service
Barclay enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number 438304) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (52nd Bn.).[1]
Death
Barclay died on 29 December 1917, aged 30. He is commemorated at Loos British Cemetery (grave reference XX. G. 7.).[1]
