George Arthur Bailey (14 June 1894 – 28 August 1918 (aged 24)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William in the Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment). Bailey died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Bailey was born at Nottingham on 14 June 1894, the son of George Henry Smythe Bailey and Elizabeth Bailey.[1]
Service
Bailey enlisted at Fort William and served as a sergeant (service number 438326) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment) (52nd Bn.).[1]
Death
Bailey died on 28 August 1918, aged 24. He is commemorated at Vis-En-Artois British Cemetery, Haucourt (grave reference V. J. 23.).[1]
