Frederick John Gowan (died (1944-08-17)17 August 1944) was a Canadian soldier who served in Thunder Bay's Lake Superior Regiment. Gowan died on active service during the Second World War.[1]

Early life

the son of William David Gowan and Sarah Gowan.[1]

Service

Gowan served as a private (service number K/75637) in the Army, Lake Superior Regiment ((Motor), R).[1]

Death

Gowan died on 17 August 1944, aged 21. He is commemorated at Bretteville-Sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery (grave reference XIX. B. 16.).[1]
