Frederick John Backhurst (died 24 May 1915) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Backhurst died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Service
Backhurst enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number 1624) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment) (8th Bn.).[1]
Death
Backhurst died on 24 May 1915. He is commemorated at Le Treport Military Cemetery (grave reference Plot 2. Row F. Grave 7.).[1]
