Frederick Barkley (13 May 1893 – 11 November 1916 (aged 23)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William in the Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment). Barkley died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Barkley was born at Buckingham on 13 May 1893, the son of Henry Barkley and Margaret Lough Barkley.[1]
Service
Barkley enlisted at Fort William and served as a private (service number 199128) in the Army, Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment).[1]
Death
Barkley was killed in action on 11 November 1916, aged 23. He is commemorated at Adanac Military Cemetery (grave reference IV. B. 12.).[1]
