FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1993
Appearance
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 1993 were held in Falun, Sweden, in February 1993.
Thunder Bay connections
A Thunder Bay delegation went to Falun to promote the next championships, held at Big Thunder in 1995. It held a media breakfast for 250 reporters and countered rumours that the Games would be moved to Calgary. Falun also held the first women's ski jumping exhibition, on a 20-metre hill.[1][2]
