F. Brown was an architect in Fort William, in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario. The surrogate-court probate records list two different decedents named F. Brown in the district; this article covers the one whose estate was probated at Fort William in 1897.
The estate was probated in the Thunder Bay District surrogate court in 1897 and inventoried at $100.00 (equivalent to $4,729 in 2025). He died intestate, without a will, and was survived by four children.[1]
