Ess was a student club at Lakehead University.[1]
1972, Forestry Annual
The Engineering Student Society kidnapped the Geology Princess.[1]
- Carnival '72.. The Year of the Cannon: The winter carnival involved a prank war where one student group kidnapped a representative from another, who then retaliated by stealing a cannon. The cannon was auctioned off to a third group to raise money for charity, though the event was marred by some campus vandalism.[1]

- To Whom it may concern: A formal notice from the chairman regarding a meeting between forestry and engineering executives to settle a dispute over a stolen cannon with a charity payment.[2]
