Ernest William Goddard ((1913-09-29)29 September 1913 – 30 November 1947(1947-11-30) (aged 34)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Port Arthur in the Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. Goddard died on active service during the Second World War.[1]

Early life

Goddard was born at Moose Jaw on 29 September 1913, the son of Ernest William Goddard and Martha Helen Goddard, husband of Dorothy Jean Goddard.[1]

Service

Goddard enlisted at Port Arthur and served as a private (service number H/195284) in the Army, Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.[1]

Death

Goddard died of pulmonary embolism on 30 November 1947, aged 34. He is commemorated at Thunder Bay (Riverside) Cemetery (grave reference Mil. Plot. Grave 1868.).[1]
