Edward Joseph Morrisseau (2 April 1918 – 23 December 1945 (aged 27)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William in the Winnipeg Grenadiers, R.C.I.C.. Morrisseau died on active service during the Second World War.[1]
Early life
Morrisseau was born at Réserve Alexander, nation Sagkeeng, Pine Falls on 2 April 1918, the son of Albert Morrisseau and Marie Courchene Morrisseau.[1]
Service
Morrisseau enlisted at Fort William and served as a private (service number H/20809) in the Army, Winnipeg Grenadiers, R.C.I.C..[1]
Death
Morrisseau died of tuberculosis on 23 December 1945, aged 27. He is commemorated at Fort Alexander First Nations Roman Catholic Cemetery.[1]
