Edward Campbell Currie (18 March 1871 – 6 June 1916 (aged 45)) was a Canadian soldier who enlisted at Fort William in the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles (Saskatchewan Regt.). Currie died on active service during the First World War.[1]
Early life
Currie was born on 18 March 1871.[1]
Service
Currie enlisted at Fort William and served as a private (service number 623046) in the Army, 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles (Saskatchewan Regt.).[1]
Death
Currie died on 6 June 1916, aged 45. He is commemorated at Menin Gate (Ypres) Memorial (grave reference Panel 30 and 32).[1]
